Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) provide grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holding. The following documents list the eligible items and their associated costs.
The scheme will consist of a €90,000 ceiling for individuals, joint ventures and companies, while a higher ceiling will be in place for DAFM-registered farm partnerships. The ceiling for reinvestment will be reset per holding for the duration of the new scheme, meaning that every farmer who benefitted under TAMS 2 can reapply in full under TAMS 3.

TAMS 3 Solar Capital Investment Scheme is now open for applications. Applications can be made through your agfood account.
The Solar Capital Investment Scheme will encourage the purchase of solar investments thereby reducing dependence on fossil energy. The solar scheme will be ring fenced with its own investment ceiling of €90,000 and will be grant aided at the enhanced rate of 60%.
The Accelerated Capital Allowance (ACA) is a tax incentive scheme available to the agricultural sector, encouraging investment in energy-efficient products and equipment for businesses, including sole traders, agricultural entities, and companies. With this scheme, solar equipment expenses can be entirely offset against your tax bill in the year of purchase.
